About the Production
In a small community acting class, five people enter a room to play simple theatre games. Over time, the exercises expose private longings, awkward humor, buried grief, and the quiet ways people try to be seen.
Annie Baker’s play is intimate, funny, unsentimental, and deeply human. It closes The Emergent’s first season with the kind of actor-driven work the company was built to hold: rigorous, vulnerable, and alive in the room.
